Remixes of a song by Munk. Original version on the Aperitivo album. One half of Munk is Italian (Mathias Modica) and so the Germany based Gomma gang always had a strong connection to Italy.
It was always clear that Gomma would ask their friends from Rome’s PIGNA label to rework a track once. Electro pioneer MARCO PASSARANI (just about to release his new album on Peacefrog) and FRANCISCO (from JOLLY MUSIC) did two nice versions for the club of the „Ce Kul“ – song. A track that Parisian DJ CHLOE and the MUNK guys originally recorded in their little studio Munich after a gig.
Tracklist:
A1) Marco Passarani Remix
A2) Francisco Dub
B) Francisco Remix

Scandinavian producer Tomas Barfod with the second part of his TOMBOY single series on Gomma. His first 12“ – released October 2004 – went very popular with the more advanced house – DJ’s like Chloe, Ivan Smagghe or Tiefschwarz. Andy Weatherall licensed it for his recent FABRIC mix CD. This one now goes a little bit more cosmicdisco.
Tracklist:
A) Maggie & Samira
AA) Player, Play On

What is HILTMEYER INC? In a review, New York City’s Top–Shop TURNTABLE LAB puts it the easy way: „it’s just the hottest raw electronic disco thang.“
Hiltmeyer is well known in the Munich club scene: a few years ago for being an excellent record dealer, always hanging out in the streets and clubs, and now for being an excellent DJ at the Gommagang parties. He was raised in a part of Munich where a lot of Munich techno producers like Zombie Nation, Richard Bartz or the Disko B/ Chicks on Speed people pass their time: Sendling.
Hiltmeyer was always a music fan. By 13 he started to get into the sound that was called “Cosmic Music” in Southern Europe: a dance music movement that was developed in Northern Italy back in the early 80s and ruled the scene from North Italy through Austria and South Germany till the Mid 90s. The original Cosmic as Hiltmeyer Inc likes it (he owns a huge mix tape collection) is a very funky special way to select and mix Italodisco B – Sides, Afro funk and Protoelectro. In his own productions Hiltmeyer Inc takes this Italian cosmic disco attitude and translates it into his fresh personal style with a dirty, futuristic, techno flavor. Pornotrance from outta space!
Hiltmeyer works with an MPC wich ususally gets used by Hip Hop producers and has only very low–key equipment. But his first releases worked well: The first tracks “Narkotik!” and the 12“ called „I come from München Sendling and I don’t give a fuck!“ were a favorite of Kompakt’s Tobias Thomas and Parisian DJ Chloe.
Cover by original Munich artists WON abc – the Jesus is an original acrylic painting. (WON recently got fame in Street art/ Graffiti circles for painting an 8 meter piece on the indoor wall of Sri Lanks’s biggestz male jailhouse!)

Kick Out The Chairs! was the first single of MUNK’s debut album Aperitivo and came out in October 2004. It features the vocals of James Murphy and Nancy Whang of New York’s DFA. Here you get a very Old school funk version of the track – played by new Gomma band WHOMADEWHO from Kopenhagen.
On the flipside there is a dance edit of B.F., also a track from the album. Made by The Glimmers from Belgium – who already had a quite intensive connection to the Munk guys in the last years: they invited them several times to their partys in Ghent, djed them self a few times at partys in Munich and at the recent Gomma/Lodown party in Berlin. They liked the B.F. track and so Gomma asked them to do an own version.
Tracklist:
A1) Kick Out The Chairs! (WhoMadeWho Remix)
A2) Kick Out The Chairs! (Acapella)
B) B.F. (Glimmers Remix)
Release: 6 December 2004
