The song (and video) is a tribute to Marseille. The dirty south french Port city where Mathias from Munk lives part time. The actors are 2 french professional actors, but in the end… surprise… But see for yourself..

The single Rue de Rome has been released on 1st April 2011 including remixes by Black Strobe, Mickey Moonlight, Cécile, etc.

Mat El Munko is touring Europe right now. This friday he will play Moscow‘s Soljanka Club and Saturday we do the Munk album release party at Social Club in Paris. Music by Mathias, The Phenomenal Handclap DJ’s and legendary Dimitri From Paris!!! How fat is that? Soooo fat!

This is a crazy mixtape. A 70 minutes trip trough all kinds of deep and dirty music from the 70ies. As you might know here at Gomma we are still mad for old vinyl. Mathias Modica has been crate-digging for years and this is a quite psychedelic voyage through his collection.
