Munk & Midnight Mike – Disco Clown (12″)

Release: 24 October 2005
Cat#: Gomma 058

Taken from MUNK’s highly acclaimed Debut album Aperitivo. These are 3 remixes from DISCO CLOWN – a track that the Italo–German production duo MUNK recorded together with their close friend and heavy London Gomma supporter MIDNIGHT MIKE. MIKE also wanted to do two new remixes that you can find on this record: both are very 70ies Disco. For the girls! On the flipside there is a remix for the boys by DIGITALISM. Their remix is definitely a heavy club monster: Dark, Bassdrum, Grunge Guitars.

Tracklist:
A) Digitalism Remix
B1) Midnight Mike 128bpm Version
B2) Midnight Mike 128bpm Remix

Munk – The Portofino Mosh (12″)

Release: 4 July 2005
Cat#: Gomma 059

Perfect for the summer: Sicilian born – but Berlin based – DJ NAUGHTY meets up with Italo-German producers MUNK to rework the PORTOFINO MOSH, originally a fake italian 50ies Beach Rock n Surf anthem. The RMX result is a NEO Italo club monster that combines serious Berlin electro with happy Italian Disco. (The original version of the song was released on MUNK‘s APERITIVO album.)

Tracklist:
A1) DJ Naughty’s Lambretta Vocal Remix
A2) Original Dub Version
B) DJ Naughty‘s Lambretta Dub Remix

Munk – Ce Kul-The Roma Mixes (12″)

Release: 18 April 2005
Cat#: Gomma 056

Remixes of a song by Munk. Original version on the Aperitivo album. One half of Munk is Italian (Mathias Modica) and so the Germany based Gomma gang always had a strong connection to Italy.

It was always clear that Gomma would ask their friends from Rome’s PIGNA label to rework a track once. Electro pioneer MARCO PASSARANI (just about to release his new album on Peacefrog) and FRANCISCO (from JOLLY MUSIC) did two nice versions for the club of the „Ce Kul“ – song. A track that Parisian DJ CHLOE and the MUNK guys originally recorded in their little studio Munich after a gig.

Tracklist:
A1) Marco Passarani Remix
A2) Francisco Dub
B) Francisco Remix

Munk feat. James Murphy – Kick Out The Chairs! Remix (12″)

Release: 24 January 2005
Cat#: Gomma 051

Kick Out The Chairs! was the first single of MUNK’s debut album Aperitivo and came out in October 2004. It features the vocals of James Murphy and Nancy Whang of New York’s DFA. Here you get a very Old school funk version of the track – played by new Gomma band WHOMADEWHO from Kopenhagen.
On the flipside there is a dance edit of B.F., also a track from the album. Made by The Glimmers from Belgium – who already had a quite intensive connection to the Munk guys in the last years: they invited them several times to their partys in Ghent, djed them self a few times at partys in Munich and at the recent Gomma/Lodown party in Berlin. They liked the B.F. track and so Gomma asked them to do an own version.

Tracklist:
A1) Kick Out The Chairs! (WhoMadeWho Remix)
A2) Kick Out The Chairs! (Acapella)
B) B.F. (Glimmers Remix)
