DJ Steef is this mysterious Frenchman who does these incredible fat, slow, funky downtempo house tracks that every body is so crazy about right now. He had a few releases on different UK labels and his last one just came out on our daughter label Toy Tonics records. (“The Preliminary EP”). This is a a mix that collects some of his recent work. Please notice: DJ Steef is French: But he doesn’t come from Paris. He is part of the new crazy slow house scene from Marseille. here it’s not about fashion. Here it’s about style. And that’s why he fits with Gomma.

His first EP will come on Gomma this winter but his friend Bobermann – aka Bob Rifo of the Bloody Beatroots did this remix bomb for him which we can’t wait to release finally. His first recording came out on the legendary Guidance Recordings, and later he released as Troublemakers and Copyshop (on Bearfunk). His latest release was the awesome Papa Tango Charly Polkatechno song on Gomma Dance Tracks EP 2. Avant les minot! Viva La Dame Noir.
