Sunset Boogie? Beach House? Mocassin Funk? Prog Disco ? We have been hearing many funny names for the new Moullinex sound. Whatever you call it: One thing is clear: you can hear very well where this music has been made: 5 minutes from the beach. It’s sweet, it’s beautiful, it’s romantic – but it is still super danceable and effective on the dance floor. Luis Gomes lives and works in Portugal. And he dj’s all around the world. He knows how to bring together the sun and the moon. The beach and the dancefloor. A great next step after his successful previous Superman EP.
Fourth installment in the Gomma Dance Tracks Compilation series featuring Gomma’s biggest dancefloor smashers and hit remixes. No fillers! Just approved killers! All tracks have been hammered by DJ all over the world.
Here you get them all together: Gomma remixes by DJ Koze, Prins Thomas, Azari & III, Zombie Nation, Siriusmo and German house legend Ian Pooley. This is hard future disco and funky techno boogie. “Gomma Dance Tracks has the sound of 2011″ … as London’s Mixmag described the Gomma sound recently.

It was great…the Phenomenal Handclap Band rocked in a hippy style, Mustang played the avant disco, Moullinex brought some breakdowns, Telonius and Munk made the girls sweat….let’s say: it was great at Gomma Super Show in Paris last saturday…here are some pics.
Yes! Here it comes. A new mix tape by Portugal-born / Munich-based digital super funkateer Moullinex! His new and first Gomma EP has been just released and makes more waves than tsunamis in pacific oceans… check Superman, the new main track… makes people cry and scream for more…
As you are used by Luis Gomez aka Moullinex you get it all: Mediterranean ethno balearic and hardcore breakdowns. Pitched down disco and technoid future funk from outta space.
Anybody never heard of Moullinex? We can’t imagine. Blogs and DJ’s have been getting mad about the digitalfunk of Luis Clara Gomes – better known as Moullinex. And all this with just one official release under his belt! (Breakchops EP 2009)…and a few hit remixes he did for Two Door Cinema Club (Kitsune), Sebastien Tellier, the remix for Cut Copy on Modular. His amazing Telonius remix is currently playlisted all around, too.
Luis – born in Portugal, but living in Munich since a couple of years, is part of the new Munich Disco scene around Gomma. So it was quite clear that he will release his own, new music on Gomma instead of signing one of the many deals that have been offered from other labels.
So here it is. The second ever Moullinex solo EP. And it’s only the beginning of a full series on Gomma records. Piano solos, African percussion, Indian guitars, Portuguese melodies, Balearic vibrations mixed with killer breakdowns, heavy basslines and screaming synths.
Jerry Bouthier: “I LOVE MOULINEX!!!” Alex Gopher: “Superman is not dead. Superman is the man. Yes I love that!” Rory Phillips: “It’s a love in! Sounds great.” James Friedman: “Hide N Seek is my fave of the bunch” Eric Duncan: “Nice stuff!!” Severino / Horse Meat Disco: “Munk and Rodion mix is great…pumping…LOVE It Lorenz Rhode too…superb..” Shir Khan: “LORENZ RHODE Remix is killer! Full support!”
If you live in Paris or Berlin… come to our Gomma Super Show this weekend.
Feat.: The Phenomenal Handclap Band, Munk, Telonius, Moullinex, Cecile, Mustang.
